Derek Michael Brennan

Derek Brennan, 31 of Bryan Texas, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015 in Caldwell.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 6 to 8pm at St Michaels, 2402 South College Ave. Graveside services to celebrate his life will be at 10am, Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Bryan Texas. Life Tribute Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

Derek was born to Patrick Brennan and Mary Ann Mushro Johnson in Bryan, Texas. He had a great fondness of the outdoors. He liked to spend hours being embraced by the amazing beauty of God’s creation. He liked biking, being a guitar player, practicing different recipes looking for the perfect blend of flavor. He was known for being the last to finish eating as he savored each bite. Derek was fascinated with woodcarvings he would make. He was so gifted as an uncle to both Cody and Adam; they were his world. He got an associates degree from Blinn College in Bryan Texas. He studied at North Texas State University where he became a licensed Pharmacy Technician and Certified Teacher. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents Robert and Phyllis Brennan and Mary Lou Mushro.

Surviving Derek to carry on his life legacy are his mother Mary Ann Mushro Johnson, his father Patrick Brennan and wife Elizabeth; his brother Jordan Brennan and wife Amy Rose ; his nephews Cody and Adam; his grandfather Jerry Mushro; numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, and other relatives.

    This is so against the natural order of things. I am so sorry I wasn’t able to meet your Derek. I know that he must have been a very friendly, kind, compassionate and loving like his mother.
