David Henderson

David Wayne Henderson

August 22, 1956 – August 21, 2016

David Henderson, 59, one day shy of his sixtieth birthday, has passed from this life on Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Bryan, Texas. David’s family will receive guests during visitation (1:30pm) just prior to his memorial service at 2:30pm on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church, 2201 Rio Grande, College Station. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers. Reverend Jim Abbot will officiate.

David was born in Flint, Michigan to Wayne Henderson and Carolyn Barnes Henderson. David was unique in character and most loving to all he met. David was the true definition of a perfectionist, he was going to do it the correct way, which was always his way. He enjoyed the great outdoors and was always looking for a good camping trip to take his family on; swimming was his most favorite outdoor activity. David enjoyed playing water sports, so the summer months were truly dedicated to family and friends. David was employed with Hildebrandt Services and was the owner/operator of D-N-D Trucking.  When he was not visiting the country sites and swimming during those hot summer months this guy was venturing out on motorcycles of all shapes and sizes. He was obsessed with clean vehicles, never had dirt on his own.

He is survived by his wife of seven years, Debbie Lynn Chollett Henderson, whom he loved deeply; his mother Mrs. Carolyn Irvin; his daughters Lauren Brewster and husband Johnathan, Ashley Henderson and fiancée Steven Albrecht, his step-son Chris Paul and wife Nicole; his sisters, Linda Sebesta and husband Waldo, Tami Hall and husband Gary, and half sister Hope Black and husband Larry; his four adorable grandchildren Traedyn Henderson, David W. Henderson II (named after his grandpa), Holley Brewster, and Jase Albrecht; his numerous nieces and nephews; and many great close friends. Preceding him in death is his father, Wayne Henderson.

The family is very grateful to the loving staff of caregivers at Hospice Brazos Valley In-patient Facility. Although David’s stay with them was short your memorial gifts can be given to the In-patient Facility in his memory.
