Bobbie Beene

Bobbie Nell Beene, 83, of Bryan passed away on Saturday, February 16, at Hospice Brazos Valley in Bryan, Texas. Her Life will be Celebrated and honored at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Benchley Church of Christ, 1101 TX-OSR, Brazos County, with Rev. David Watson officiating. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station.

Bobbie was born to William Kellett and Betty Minsky Kellett in Bryan, Texas, on July 8, 1935. Bobbie Nell and Douglas Beene were married on September 24, 1951 in Houston, Texas. Together they shared 63 years of marriage and were blessed many times over by their God. She was a member of the Benchley Church of Christ for many years and Bobbie was actually the first to be baptized in their new building.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, William and Betty Kellett; loving husband, Melvin “Doug” Beene; brother, William Kellett Jr.; and daughter, Janis Granger.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Mary Lois McGhee; her two sons, Melvin Paul Beene and Alan Douglas Beene; three grandchildren, Chris Cloud, Kevin Cloud, and Amber Allen; one great-grandchild, Angel Alan Balverde; two sisters, Betty J. Hagen, Shirley Winn and husband Jene; her brother Donald Kellett and wife Deanie; and many friends. She was very well loved, and she will be missed dearly.

A special thanks to everyone at Hospice Brazos Valley for caring for Bobbie during her final days.

You were the only one on earth who loved me unconditionally and with all of your being. You were my best friend. My rock. My strength. Thank you for all of your prayers….I probably wouldn’t be here if you had not went to our Creator on my behalf. Thank you for being such a good mother and such a beautiful, sweet, kind, thoughtful, and loving person. Thank you for being “My Mama”. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU.THATS FOREVER.❣❤
