Beatrice Connell Morris

Beatrice Morris, 79, of Bryan, passed away peacefully Sunday, October 21, 2012. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2012, at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan. Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m., Thursday, at Calvary Baptist Church in Bryan with Rev. David Murphy officiating.

Beatrice was born February 8, 1933, in Tifton, Georgia. She has lived in Bryan for seven years, after moving from Orange County, Florida, where she was a bus driver for handicapped children for 25 years. She served as a foster mother for 7 years to 66 foster babies. Beatrice also worked with newborn babies for 40 years for the First Baptist Church in Longwood Florida.

For the past 7 years, Beatrice has ministered to the senior shut-ins at Calvary Baptist Church in Bryan, where she was a member. She was a devoted and loving Christian wife and mother who will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Burgess Alfred Morris; her son, James Ray Morris; and her parents.

Survivors include her daughters, Sarah Faye Muscato, of Bryan, Gloria Patton and husband George, of Allen, Tx, Valerie Lynette Morris, Nancy Vogt, of Florida; sons, Robert Morris, of Florida, Richard Morris, of Bryan, Scott Winans and wife Peggy, of Florida; grandchildren, Mary Virginia White, Elizabeth Faye Muscato, Bryan Patrick Muscato, Matthew Clark Muscato, Megan Winans, Kathlyn Winans, Lauren Winans; great grandchildren, Ashley Taylor White, Michael Joseph White, Elliot Muscato, Madelyn Muscato, Jacob Muscato.

  1. “Miss Bea” will forever be remembered fondly and held close to our hearts. She helped keep our little ones safe and loved in the church nursery so we could sing in the choir, attend Sunday school and choir practice. We couldn’t have done it without her. ❤️
