Arturo Lopez Arreguin

July 30, 1956 – June 4, 2020

Arturo Lopez Arreguin, 63, of Bryan,  passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm, Saturday, June 6, 2020 at First Baptist Bryan. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan-College Station.

Chino passed peacefully int the arms of the Lord surrounded by his family, listening to the word of the Lord and favorite worship music.

Chino was born in Rancho Nuevo, to Antonio Lopez and Elvira Arreguin.  He married Beatrice Garcia and started his family in Bryan, Texas. He worked for Knife River for many years as a quality control technician.

He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He spent many hours preparing his famous fajitas, salsa and pico de gallo.  In his quiet time, he enjoyed gardening and growing nopales, chile’s, tomatoes, and even tried his hand at watermelons.

Chino always put his family before himself.  He was a living example of what he preached.  He always made sure our gas tanks were full, oil was fresh, and cars were clean.  He taught his kids that taking care of their families, homes and lawns was a source of pride.

Chino instilled in his children a work ethic unparalleled and taught them that an education is an investment that cannot be taken away.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years Beatrice, daughter Angela Alston and son in-law Rusty; son Mark and daughter in-law Heather; daughter Monica Lopez; and grandchildren Arturo, Cary, Jonah, Hannah, Rebekah and a baby boy to come.  He also leaves behind his siblings, Ruben, Graciela, Guadalupe, Lucia, Elvira and Amparo; numerous nephews, nieces, godchildren, friends, and special neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the church building fund.
