The sounds of Heaven resounded on December 13, 2017 heralding a “HERO” James Sartor, 74. born in Van, Texas, on December 8, 1943, is coming home. Just after noon, 12:11 P.M. the Scheduled Flight for the SILVER EAGLE exited this world to take up residency with the King of Kings & Lord of Lords. A memorial Service to honor the life of James will be held Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, beginning at 3PM.

James is survived by the “Love of his Life, Esther LaVerne Sartor and his Children & Grands, who were the Joy of his life; his one son, Tim Sartor and Daughter-of- Love, Tracey Sartor of Brenham, TX. giving him 3 Grand -daughters: Ashlee Grace, Faith Destiny, and Autumn Joy Reign Sartor. One daughter, Charity Dianne and Son-of Love, Randy Linder, Heralding four Grands: Michael Ernest Yarborough, Joshua Caleb Linder, Hope Promise Linder and Jonathan Ethan Linder.

James was united in covenant with Esther LaVerne Jernigan March 26, 1965, beginning their lives together at All Faith’s Chapel, In College Station, Texas. Being an ordained minister he evangelized, pastored, and served in many aspects of Christian ministry.

James lived out his faith being a faithful and compassionate man. Having a pioneering spirit with love and compassion for people. He was a giant in pioneering Christian Counseling.

His race ended earlier than anticipated, but we still have our race to run and James would not have it any other way than that we give our very best for the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ. We say he’s departed but he says HE’S ARRIVED!

A special Thank you to Hospice Brazos Valley and all their amazing angels who cared for the one we loved.

A special grateful, thankful heart for all our “Prayer Intercessors” around the globe. Heaven’s award awaits your faithfulness!

Condolences

  1. To Esther and family, It was a sad call I received from Tim today, but I know James is with the One he loved the best, his Lord and Savior, Jesus. I will long remember you and James standing with me when I was single and how much your loving friendship meant to me. You and James were kind enough to give me my wedding when I married in 1982! So many memories. With much love to you and yours in this difficult time.

  2. Sorry to hear of the passing of James. He loved the Lord and cherished his family. Now he resides in that Eternal City

  3. To James Sartor Family:
So sorry for your loss. Praying for the family today. I worked with James back in the early 1960’s at Curtis Mathes in Athens, Tx. I never got to meet Esther. God bless & strengthen all of you today.

  4. So sorry to hear of your loss, but what a wonderful, glorious experience for James. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

  5. Mr. Sartor was such a kind and loving man. I’m so sorry for yall’s loss. Knowing him enriched my life greatly. I hope y’all find peace knowing he has received his healing. I will be praying for all of you.

  6. James was such a wonderful man! Sending prayers for the Sartors, who were such a blessing to so many people back in Hungerford, Texas at TC/Lifeway church back in the ’90s. I knew Tim who was like a brother, and Charity who cared for and has touched the lives of my kids, Brian and Lisa. May the peace and comfort of the Lord be with you each morning. God bless and keep your blessed families. Love you!! Sonia
