Margie “Louise” Wahl, 65, of Akron, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 after her courageous battle with lung cancer, in College Station, TX, where she temporarily resided to help care for her grandchildren.  A Celebration of Louise’s Life will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017, 3:30 p.m. at the Washington County Event Center, 552 W. 2nd St., Akron, CO 80720 with Reverend Scott Sangster officiating.

Margie was born May 15, 1952, in Pueblo, to Federico Bedan and Ruth (Trujillo) Mounts.  She attended Atwood schools and graduated from Sterling High School.  Before retiring, she worked 14 years at the Sterling Living Center as a medical records technician.  Margie loved being “Nan” to her precious grandchildren and enjoyed traveling with her daughters, spending time with family and friends, gardening, visiting casinos, watching and attending sporting events.

Margie is survived by her mother and stepfather, Ruth and Richard Mounts of Edgewater; stepbrother Hans Timmermans and wife Hillie of Portland, OR; daughters, Monica Sangster and husband Dimitri of Aurora, Melinda Raihl and husband Billy of Marbleton, WY, Major Melissa Mueller and husband Jon of College Station, TX; sons, Jeff Wahl and wife Victoria Shotwell of Lafayette, Chris Wahl of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Boston, Carle, Bailey, Dominique, Deja, Jace, Hope, Ruthie, Adrian, Cassidy; and a host of many relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Wahl, her father, stepfather Dirk F. Timmermans, and brother Tommy G. Bedan.
