  2. A sad day has dawned for me when I read about the passing of a dear friend and past neighbor, Ms. Gearner. When I had the pleasure of first meeting this kind human being was when we moved to our home on Orman Street. We were a young couple with three young daughters. Ms. Gearner quickly welcomed us into the neighborhood and a strong affection and deep respect was created overnight. Ms. Gearner and I shared many conversations about our families and the love of flowers. I know she was so excited about the beautiful great granddaughter that bears her name. Ms. Gearner extended her warmth to our daughters with special cookies and made time to play board games with them. After moving away from the neighborhood, the telephone allowed us to still share some time together. The years moved too quickly, but I never forgot the neighbor who shared her thoughts, warmth, knowledge with us. Each of my girls voiced the same memory upon hearing about the passing of Ms. Gearner. They all remembered the sugar cookies they were given on their first visit to this special neighbors home. What an impact this lady has had on so many lives. We are so sorry that Ms. Gearner has gone, but the Lord finally called a faithful servant home.
I will always remember Ms. Gearner when I make those special sugar cookies.
God Bless, James and Barbara Palasota and daughters Jeanette, Melissa, and Tina

  3. Expressing sympathy in the loss of Inez. My sister and I had the pleasure of attending her 100th birthday celebration in 2005. She was a delightful person. My mother, Hazel Mansell Reid, was so very fond of Inez. She spoke of her so often. We are thinking of all of you and our prayers are with you.

    Love,

    Judy
