Final arrangements have been set for Panchita L. Gutierrez, 81, who died on December 17, 2019. Visitation will be Thursday, December 19 from 1-3pm at Callaway-Jones Funeral Center in Bryan. The funeral service will begin at 10am on Friday, December 20, with burial at Bryan City Cemetery at 1pm.
Panchita Lopes Gutierrez was born March 3, 1938, in Rock Springs, Texas to Juan and Eulalia Lopez. Panchita was a woman who loved her life and lived it to the fullest. Family was her main priority and they benefited from her tender love and care.
Panchita loved her children and she delighted in taking them on shopping adventures, and she would call her family members on the phone and say, “Let’s go shopping! Ya’ll come pick me up!” Her favorite activity was dancing, and so we envision her now, dancing together with her parents and siblings.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two children, Henry and Anita Gutierrez, three grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory include six sons, Greg and wife Sylvia, Albert and wife Selma, Luis and fiancé Brandy, Arthur and fiancé Faith, Steve and wife Carrie, and Ruben; five daughters, Estella, Adelina, Georgia and husband Sam Salazar, and Leslie and husband Fernando Rodriguez, thirty-four grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
There’s a saying that “those we love never die; they live on in our hearts forever.” Judging by all her family and friends, Panchita will live forever. We as a family look forward to the time when we will all see her again.
Rest In Peace, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. You are in our hearts forever.
