Bernice Prudence Biermann

Bernice Biermann, 87, of Bryan, Texas, passed away July 25, 2019, in Bryan. A visitation and viewing will be held from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on July 30, at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Center. Her Graveside Service will begin at 9:00 AM on July 31, in Rest Ever Memorial Park in Bryan. Following will be the Life Tribute Service at 10:00 AM at the Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, Bryan-College Station.
Bernice, who often went by Bernie, was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Robert and Winifred Donaldson, on February 20, 1932. The oldest of three children she graduated from Hingham High School in 1950. She moved to Philadelphia to work at Philadelphia College of Bible where she met Joe Biermann. They were married in 1955. They lived in Upland, Indiana, and Bryan, Texas. Their first son Paul was born in 1957 and second son Bruce was born in 1965.
Bernice’s last job was with the General Accounting Office at Texas A&M University where she retired in 1997. A woman of strong faith she was always active in her church and community. She joined the Business and Professional Woman’s Club of Bryan-College Station and was named the club’s Woman of the Year in 2001
She leaves her first son Paul and wife Sue, grandsons Jonathan and Tim, and great-grandchild Aubry, and second son Bruce and wife Nancy Michalewicz. She also leaves her younger brother Richmond Donaldson and younger sister Virginia Witchey. Her husband Joe preceded her in death in 2007.
