Annalee Starr

Annalee Starr passed away October 6, 2014 in her home in Bryan, TX at the age of 88 years due to the long-term complications of Alzheimer’s.

Annalee was born on August 30, 1926 in Belleview, Calhoun Co, IL to Enos Bryan Gardner and Luda Mae Barnes. She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings (Urbena, Jessie and Connie) and her husband of 66 years, Harry E Starr Jr.

She is survived by her son Stephan and daughter-in-law Victoria DeHague Starr and daughter Lesley Starr LeBlanc and son-in-law Chris LeBlanc also three grandchildren: Jason Starr, Tina Starr Powell, Jamie LeBlanc; and four great-grandchildren: Rhiannon Powell, Jazz Powell, Aiden LeBlanc and Kendall LeBlanc. She retired from Automated Records Corp, College Station, TX at the age of 73. She had been a long time employee of Thomas Truck and Caster Co. of Keokuk, IA before moving to Bryan. She graduated from Keokuk, IA high school in 1944. Annalee had been a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks and served as a president.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Per her wishes, she will be laid to rest with her husband in Keokuk, Iowa Veteran’s Cemetery in the near future. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the kind loving care-givers who assisted her in the latter period of life.
