Andrew Braziel

Andrew “David” Braziel, 68, of Bryan, passed away Friday, May 30, 2019. His life will be honored with a memorial service at 5 pm Friday, June 7, 2019, at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2815 Welsh Ave. in College Station. Interment will take place in Gatesville, Texas. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers of Bryan College Station.

David was born September 8, 1950 in Alamogordo, New Mexico, to Andrew Jackson Braziel and Anita Fae Braziel. He has lived in the Bryan College Station area for 35 years after moving from Gatesville and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. David enjoyed cooking BBQ and woodworking. He was a crafty handyman, and he also was a state champion skeet shooter.

He was preceded in death by both his parents.

Survivors include his daughter, Donna Sprouse; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Jennifer Braziel; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Cherry Braziel, Doug and Robin Braziel; grandchildren and their spouses, Colton and Allysa Sprouse, Kaycie and Jason Neill, Justin Braziel, Jordan Braziel, Shawn Todd; and great grandchildren, Zackary Sprouse, Kimberly Sprouse, Kennedy Sprouse, and Jenson David-Alan Kemp.



  1. I have lived in Gatesville and David reminded me so much of my old town, a town of friendly people and Cowboys. David is a Cowboy that will be missed. Prayers for the Family and RIP Dave….

  2. Wonderful, funny and caring man! He always brightened my day at Hope Cancer Center! He would always bring us some jalapeno ranch dip and it was so yummy! The family is in my thoughts and prayers.

    I had no idea that your dad was MonaVie distributor about 5-6 years back. It’s a small world. He sat in my living room. Prayers to you and your family. I love ya gal!!

  4. We traveled all over the state of Texas playing softball for David. He always wanted me to sit upfront with him to discuss strategy before the games. We had some great times and won so many tournaments. David was a great man.Prayers to the family.
