February 15, 1959 – April 15, 2020
Allison Kimzey Beall Harper passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 after a year & a half battle with heart complications. Allison is now truly home with God, her Lord and Savior and reunited with her loving parents Raymond and Karolyn Beall. She was born February 15, 1959 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The family of three moved back to Dallas, Tx and Allison became the big sister to Amy and Anne. The three A’s shared many happy family memories together with their precious parents on summer trips to Green Mountain Falls, Co and South Padre Island.
Allison loved her friends – The Yaya’s deeply. She graduated from Highland Park High School in 1977. She attended Southwest Texas State and then worked as a dental assistant. Her dream to become a mother came true when she had her two sons, David in 1985 and Blake in 1986. She adored watching them grow up and their family trips to Cedar Creek Lake, South Padre Island and Hawaii.
Allison was beautiful, full of life and found laughter in the simplest things. She never met a stranger and always welcomed new friendships. She fell in love and married Steve Harper on January 6, 2001. She embraced Steve’s two children Rachel and Grant and they made their new home in College Station, Texas in 2001.
Their family lived in College Station until Allison’s passing, growing their family to include many friends that considered the Harper’s “adopted family”. Steve’s favorite memories are their times in Carmel with Allison’s mom, jigsaw puzzles, enjoying decadent food, wine and so many other things they experienced as a family. The most precious times were simply time they spent together.
Allison’s ability to take chances gave her the courage to fight her heart disease and have the LVAD surgery. She defied the odds and fought her way back home to College Station to be with Steve and their beloved dogs Moxie Elizabeth and Smokey Joe “Blue”. Here she grew closer to God and loved spending time with family. Allison will always be remembered for her beautiful long hair, fun-loving nature, sense of humor and her infectious loud laugh.
