September 29, 1940 – September 28, 2018
Marie Smotek, our mother, friend, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, passed away the day before her seventy-eighth birthday, in College Station. Our hearts feel the joy she now has with the assurance her spirit is home with her creator God. A visitation will be from 6 to 8, with the Rosary Recited at 7:30pm, Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Center. Funeral Service will be at 10am, Wednesday, October 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.

I worked with her many years ago at Building Crafts.
She was so much fun, such a loving and caring woman. I have thought of her often over the years, she left a memorable impression on me in my early 20’s.
She was very special….and now she is with God.

Sending my condolences to all the family of Marie. She and I, attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School together. Marie, was several years ahead of me but I remember her well. She was a beautiful person on the outside, as well as on the inside. May she now rest in God’s everlasting peace.
