Lois Irene Byrd
August 2, 1949 – August 7, 2018
Lois Byrd, 69, of Iola, formerly of Houston, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018, in College Station. At this time her family will honor Lois’ request with no public services. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers, Bryan-College Station.
Lois was born in Monroe, Iowa, to Wain and Mila Foreman Sloan. She was an independent lady who focused on her career, but always considered her son Scott her most cherished gift in life. Lois was blessed to have her grandchildren to love and support in their endeavors. She was the holiday baker for her small family; she enjoyed baking anything pecan during the Christmas and Holiday Seasons. She will be remembered most for the deep love of any rescue pets she could adopt and consider family. A private Christian in faith but truly had a heart of love for all.
Her parents precede her in death.
Her son Scott and daughter-in-law Amber Byrd; her grandchildren, Dalton, Austin, Linsey, and Dakota; her great-grandchildren Shae, Brayden, and Aria; and all her fur babies survive her.

At a sad time as this, the Bible gives us comfort at Revelation 21:3,4 where God promises to rid the earth of sickness, sorrow and death. What a wonderful time when we no longer have to face these enemies.
