Condolences

  1. Hello. My name is Karina. You may not know me, I met Brother Contreras at the LDS Church back when he was living in Brownsville. He was a wonderful man, and a delight to be around. I’m grateful to God that I was able to met him and be his friend. My family and I would pick him up from to go to church sometimes, and afterwards, we would invite us to go eat with him. He was very generous. I was around 17 years old when we met him, and I always thought of him as a grandpa.

Last night I had a dream about him. I went to his house and he told me he was glad to see me, and I said I happy to see him too. I caught up with him, and even told him I am now married and that I wanted him to meet my husband. I woke up thinking about him a lot, and decided to look him up and see if I could get in touch with him, when I saw his obituary. I’d like to think he remembered me and decided to pay me a visit.

I’m so sorry for your loss, but I know he’s in a better place looking over everyone he loved, and I know that we will see him again some day. Until then, may he rest in peace.
