May 12, 1968 – July 9, 2018

Dee Ann Jones Harris, 50, of College Station was called home to be with her lord on Monday, July 9. She struggled for a long time with disease and disability and passed peacefully with her family and friends surrounding her at Hospice of Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility in Bryan. Services will be held at Reliance Baptist Church, 6925 Reliance Church Road, Brazos County, on Saturday, July 14 at 2 pm. Cremation services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral and Cremation Centers Bryan-College Station.

Born and raised in the Bryan/College Station area, Dee Ann graduated from A&M Consolidated High School where she was a Bengal Belle. Dee Ann was the first in her family to graduate from Texas A&M University, with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Dee Ann taught at Franklin Independent School district and was loved by everyone she met, especially her students. The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the many close friends who helped care for Dee Ann before her passing.

Her father, Lonnie Lee Jones, preceded Dee Ann in death. She leaves behind her mother Charlotte Ray Jones, stepmother Claudia Jones, sisters Leigh Chastain and Jan Bergeman (Erik) of Granbury and stepsisters Carla LeBlanc (Kendrick) and Donna Florence along with many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Dee Ann’s name to Hospice of Brazos Valley, 502 West 26th Street, Bryan, Texas 77803, or Reliance Baptist Church, 6925 Reliance Church Road, Bryan, Texas 77808.

  8. I was a friend of Dee Ann’s throughout childhood and up to being an adult. Unfortunately we had a disagreement and haven’t talked since. But I still always dreamed of her and loved her. I was very torn up after looking her up and finding she had passed. My prayers go out to Charlotte. God bless
