Barbara Elizabeth Perry, 87, of Singleton passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Golden Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Navasota after a long-term illness. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Anderson on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 10:00am, with Father Eli Lopez officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Barbara was born on September 7, 1930 to Mike & Lena Hetmaniak in Grimes County, TX. She had one sibling, Margaret. In her younger years, she thoroughly enjoyed traveling to different national parks and amusement parks around the United States. Barbara was an active member at St. Stanislaus, where she consistently made items for church bazaars and yearly Christmas trees, and never missed a mass. Barbara was also a very crafty lady. In her spare time, she treasured the art of crocheting, cooking, and baking, and she frequently entered all her crafts & foods in county fairs. She also enjoyed bird watching, gardening, and yard work in general. Barbara also love to keep in contact with her friends. After she entered into Golden Creek, she became an avid bingo player, and had a huge collection of play money that she kept with her until her last days. She was, and will always be, known for her giving heart and loving spirit.

She is preceded in death by her parents Mike and Lena, and her sister, Margaret Hyman.

Barbara is survived by her only son Tom Perry and wife Tami; two grandsons Edison Perry and Jake Perry; and four great grandchildren Kyleigh, Annabelle, Matthew, and Harleigh.
