Alice Mae Linklater

Alice Mae Linklater (Lusk), passed away at the age of 90 on Friday, November 24,2017 at Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient Facility.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Wednesday, November 29th and Funeral service at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Callaway-Jones Funeral & Cremation Center in Bryan. Interment will follow at Memorial Cemetery of College Station 3800 Raymond Stotzer Parkway.

Alice was born May 1, 1927, in Hearne, Texas to William Oscar and Ida Mae Lusk (Melton). Upon graduation from Hearne High School she met and married James Bernard Linklater of Detroit, MI. on March 18, 1946. They raised three children in Bloomfield Hills, MI.

Alice retired from her job as a retail sales representative for The Eagle newspaper in Bryan, TX. She was an avid reader, loved college football “Gig ’em Aggies” and “Go Blue”, NHL hockey and she loved to crochet!

Alice is survived by her children; Maureen Linklater of Bryan, Marilyn “Lyn” Wilund and husband Gordon of Hearne, and James B. Linklater of Bryan; Cousin, Rita Weaver of Plano; Sister-in-law, Charlene Lusk of College Station and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Agnes, brothers Jimmie, W.A. “Bill” Lusk, Curtis Eugene Lusk , husband James “Bud” Linklater and infant daughter Joan Ann Linklater.
